Empowering today's youth one mentor at a time.

About the Campaign

After recognizing the substantial impact mentors made in my life, it made me want to give other youth the same opportunity. VOICES for Alabama's Children tells us that our youth are 46th nationally for child well-being.

We know there is a direct correlation between the choices each child makes and the mentors who help make them. It is imperative that we close the mentoring gap and work to provide equal opportunity for our youth through the proven impact of mentorship.

Mentoring Matters is a campaign to implement mentoring programs, develop existing mentoring programs, and advocate through lobbying and community collaboration and engagement.

Does Mentoring Matter?

Mentorship is not usually under fire; however, it can be considered not a priority. Provided by the National Mentor Partnership, these findings give us insight on the impact of mentorship and just how necessary it is for the youth in Alabama.
